Graduate School Admissions

There are many factors to consider when selecting a graduate degree.  We help students manage the process. and provide insights into the  graduate admissions process.

Students should ask themselves the following questions when considering graduate school.

• Why do I want to attend graduate school?  
• What can I achieve by attending graduate school?
• Should I get some work experience prior to applying to graduate school?
• Should I attend full-time or part-time?

We assist students with the admission process to graduate schools, EMBA programs, law schools, and medical schools.  We assist with the entire application progress, including planning of admission testing.  Before we discuss schools we discuss why a student wants to go to graduate school and what a student can expect in terms of career advancement from a graduate degree.  We help students select schools, develop and edit essays, including the statement of purpose essay.  We thoroughly prepare students for their admission interviews.  

Crafting a compelling narrative for the right graduate program takes dedication. An effective personal statement gives the admissions committee insight into your personality, motivations, and experiences that have shaped who you are at the time you are applying. A good essay coach will help steer you to best determine how to communicate all of these aspects and demonstrate what sets you apart as a candidate.

Getting a perfect score on the MCATs does not guarantee acceptance to medial school(s). Medical schools are looking for students who have experiences that support their desire to attend medical school in addition to stellar grades and MCAT scores.   We work with students to ensure they get the most of their pre-med program.  For pre-med students it is critical that they make decisions during undergraduate studies that will optimize their chances for acceptance to medical school. We work with students to maximize their summer experiences, including leadership opportunities, publishing research, volunteering, clinical experiences, shadowing medical staff, etc.   We help students prepare for their interviews. Non-cognitive skills are critical in the interview process and the ability to make sound judgements is often assessed.  We work with students to ensure they have experiences that can be used as examples to support these skills. We also create a timeline to ensure experiences and MCATs are completed in time for medical school applications.
