Indiana University has one of the prettiest campuses in the country. The flagship campus of this state university is located in Bloomington, Indiana. The University is renowned for two programs: The Kelley School of Business and the Jacobs School of Music. IU is a member of the Big Ten conference, and Hoosiers are proud to display their school spirit and enthusiasm.
IU exemplifies the Midwest values of a strong work ethic, friendliness, caring, honesty, and hospitality. Faculty, administrators, and students are all eager to help one another to ensure that each student succeeds. Freshman dorms have a TA and Peer Mentor on every floor, and students have access to other peer mentors from their particular school. Students are assigned academic counselors prior to starting their Freshman year. There is a formal First Year Experience (FYE) Program to help students transition to college. The campus is large, but students are able to walk from one corner to the other in time to get to their classes. There are two dining halls and plenty of food options across campus. Parents weekend occurs one month after classes begin and creates a sense of camaraderie and school spirit for both the student and their families. A strong Greek life is present, but does not dominate the social scene for students.
The Kelley School of Business is a top ranked business school. There are 18 majors within the business school. The I-Core program in the Kelley school is like no other program. It challenges students to use their knowledge of finance, marketing, operations, and leadership while solving cross-functional business problems in the setting of a team case project.
Students should consider this school if:
