Overview

Northwestern University is right on Lake Michigan and dozens of sunfish boats are parked on the shores near the beaches. Northwestern is nestled in cute town of Evansville, Chicago. It is a beautiful sprawling university with 9 colleges. Northwestern is a very popular school as it is part of the big ten yet academically on par with Cornell and the University of Pennsylvania.

What we loved about the school

The creative environment that is fostered here. "The Garage" allows students to collaborate across disciplines to create start ups. 3-D printers are in excess and easily available for students!

Northwestern University is on the quarter system. This is a plus for students who want to double major, but it can also be intense as there is not a lot of time to learn material and it is very easy to fall behind on the quarter system.

This is an open-minded community where diversity is embraced.
