TransferRing college options

Considering Transfering Colleges

Transferring colleges can be very stressful.  A student who is unhappy with their current school is typically worries that they will make the same mistake again when selecting a college to transfer to.

In this plan we work with the student to:

  • Assess what was wrong with their college choice, and what they need and want in a transfer school.
  • Develop a 'best fit' list of transfer schools based upon the students needs and academic abilities. We ensure the transfer school options truly fit the needs of the student.
  • Provide the student with insights into the transfer school options and when possible connect them with our previous students who are currently at that school.
  • Form relationships with current professors to ensure stellar letters of recommendations are given.
  • Manage the entire transfer process for the student.

The number of sessions depends on number of colleges student is applying to.  Typical plan is 7-8 sessions with the student applies to 6-8 schools.

Finding Reseach Opportunities in College

How to Secure Research in College

Research opportunites are no longer just for STEM majors!  Research can help students decide their path after graduation - pursuing Graduate School which tends to be more research focused or going into Industry.

Students need to know who to reach out to inquiry about potential research opportunities.  We work with students to find those opportunities at their college or through other means. We teach the students what skills to highlight on their research inquiries.

Students need to evaluate how much time they can commit to a lab or study prior to pursuing research.  They also need to know the time commitments expected if they accept the position.

Being published is typically high on a student's wish list when selecting research opportunities.  Many universities offer grants for students to conduct their own research.  Many students do not even know what type of research they are interested in conducting.  We work with students to help them gain exposure to enivroments which will eventually foster the pursuit of their own research.
